Every once in the while it's just necessary to do something a little crazy! The other day me and my best friend Sarah were sitting in art class and decided to randomly do some splatter painting. Our art teacher, who is really one of the coolest teachers I have ever had, saw no problem with us going outside and slinging paint around until our hearts' content. Our BIG (first choice) applications were about due and it was a great way to blow off some steam.
We started with a a big purple canvas that someone had started, but had quickly discarded. From there we used some very running acrylic paints and began to sling multiple colors onto it. We then went a little crazy drawing shapes with our hands on the wet paint and even leaving hand prints. Our last and final touch was to marble some yellow and green paint across the front. Some of our other friends wandering around campus also contributed splatters and smears here and there. Overall, it really turned out crazy! I jokingly named the painting "Friendship," however I think it really suits the picture. While it probably won't ever be in an art museum, we had such a great time making it!
What fun spontaneous thing have you done lately?
Hope y'all have a fab day!!!

Fashion Discovery
The weather has definitely been bipolar lately. For a little while I truly thought southern North Carolina was actually going to get a real fall, however I was wrong. This week the temperatures jacked back up to the upper with tons of humidity. (Not fun! It wrecks havoc on my hair.)
Anyway for those of us dealing with this weather it is crazy to try and put together a decent outfit. A lot of times it requires some rather summery pieces, even though it is well into fall! Recently I discovered platform wedges (or at least that's what I think they are called.) At first I was really hesitant about the way that they would look on! To be honest I thought they would look more like heeled clogs, but they are really flattering. They make your legs look great.
My first pair are from Kate Spade. I love the different colors on each side the green and the turquoise! You can't really tell in the picture but the cork has gold flecks in it. In other words I'm completely in love with these shoes!
